Hair streaking out being me like a flame through the forest, I launched myself over the cliff and landed gently on my feet before throwing myself forward again, barely touching the ground as I flew through the trees nearing the river. No ordinary human could catch me now. Smiling to myself I hit the waters edge and my bare feet felt the smooth pebbles beneath the flowing water.
I followed along the curving river, never slowing, never looking back. No doubt they were coming after me. My sensitive picked up on heavy leather soles stomping trough the forest half a mile away. Not much further back from them I heard the low swooping of a chopper. They would stop at nothing.
"Good thing I'm up for some fun," I muttered darkly, chuckling darkly.
    
      Letting the chopper see me - but not be near enough to be a threat - I decided to give them a little treat. A little reminder that what they had created in the lab was indistructable. I was aware of the water fall even before I reached it, because I'd gotten this far on an escape mission once before. This time, even though the had sent all they had at me, I was ready. I had reached what they called Stage 9 several days ago. I had finished my training. I was now the ultimate fighter. "Here we go," I murmured as I approached the cliff and the water hissing and tumbling over the edge. With one graceful leap, I threw myself over the edge and even though the scientists in the chopper were far overhead, I heard shocked gasps and a clipboard snapping. Even Twitchy and Dracula No. 1 were suprised.
I distinctly heard Twitchy mutter "Fuck!" and Dracula No. 1 got so many swear words out in that moment that I didn't catch them all. I plunged into the icy water at the bottom, my plain white T-Shirt and white jeans not enough to protect me from even a little of the cold. Still, I was free. Until they sent the hounds. And not just the average gueard dogs. Giant, wolfy mutants. Oh yeah, with serious FANGS.
